The NPR3 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB16932) is a valuable tool for research involving NPR3, a cell surface receptor known for its role in regulating the clearance and homeostasis of natriuretic peptides. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits strong reactivity with human samples and has been rigorously validated for Western blot applications. It specifically targets the NPR3 protein, allowing for precise detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it well-suited for studies in cardiovascular and metabolic research.
NPR3, also known as natriuretic peptide receptor C, is a key player in the cardiovascular system, where it modulates the effects of natriuretic peptides on blood pressure and fluid balance. Dysregulation of NPR3 signaling has been implicated in cardiovascular diseases, such as hypertension and heart failure, making it a promising target for therapeutic intervention. Research focused on understanding the function of NPR3 could lead to the development of novel treatments for these conditions.

This gene encodes one of three natriuretic peptide receptors. Natriutetic peptides are small peptides which regulate blood volume and pressure, pulmonary hypertension, and cardiac function as well as some metabolic and growth processes. The product of this gene encodes a natriuretic peptide receptor responsible for clearing circulating and extracellular natriuretic peptides through endocytosis of the receptor. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
