The NPPA Monoclonal Antibody is a crucial tool for researchers studying the role of the NPPA gene in cardiovascular function and disease. This monoclonal antibody, specifically designed to target NPPA protein, allows for accurate and reliable detection of NPPA expression in various samples. NPPA, also known as atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP), is a hormone that plays a key role in regulating blood pressure and fluid balance in the body. Dysregulation of NPPA expression has been associated with cardiovascular disorders such as hypertension and heart failure, making it a valuable target for therapeutic interventions.
The NPPA Monoclonal Antibody is highly specific and sensitive, allowing for precise analysis of NPPA levels in cell lines, tissues, and biological fluids. Its application in techniques such as Western blotting and immunohistochemistry make it an essential tool for researchers investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying cardiovascular diseases.Overall, the NPPA Monoclonal Antibody provides researchers with a reliable and accurate means of studying the role of NPPA in cardiovascular health, paving the way for new insights and potential therapeutic strategies for cardiovascular disorders.

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the natriuretic peptide family. Natriuretic peptides are implicated in the control of extracellular fluid volume and electrolyte homeostasis. This protein is synthesized as a large precursor (containing a signal peptide), which is processed to release a peptide from the N-terminus with similarity to vasoactive peptide, cardiodilatin, and another peptide from the C-terminus with natriuretic-diuretic activity. Mutations in this gene have been associated with atrial fibrillation familial type 6. This gene is located adjacent to another member of the natriuretic family of peptides on chromosome 1.
