The NOX2/Cybb (GP91phox) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody is a highly specific tool for researchers studying the NOX2/Cybb protein, an essential component of the NADPH oxidase complex involved in the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in immune cells. This antibody, produced in rabbits, has been extensively validated for use in Western blot applications with human samples. The NOX2/Cybb protein, also known as GP91phox, plays a critical role in the antimicrobial activity of phagocytes by generating superoxide radicals to kill engulfed pathogens. Dysregulation of NOX2/Cybb activity is associated with various diseases, including chronic granulomatous disease (CGD), inflammatory conditions, and cancer.
Therefore, understanding the function and regulation of NOX2/Cybb is pivotal for developing targeted therapies for these disorders. The NOX2/Cybb Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody enables researchers to detect and analyze NOX2/Cybb protein levels in different cell types, providing valuable insights into the role of ROS production in immune responses and disease pathogenesis. By targeting NOX2/Cybb, researchers can uncover novel therapeutic strategies for manipulating oxidative stress and inflammation in various pathological conditions.

Cytochrome b (-245) is composed of cytochrome b alpha (CYBA) and beta (CYBB) chain. It has been proposed as a primary component of the microbicidal oxidase system of phagocytes. CYBB deficiency is one of five described biochemical defects associated with chronic granulomatous disease (CGD). In this disorder, there is decreased activity of phagocyte NADPH oxidase; neutrophils are able to phagocytize bacteria but cannot kill them in the phagocytic vacuoles. The cause of the killing defect is an inability to increase the cell's respiration and consequent failure to deliver activated oxygen into the phagocytic vacuole.
