The NOS1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB12795) is a valuable tool for researchers studying NOS1, a crucial enzyme involved in nitric oxide synthesis and signaling pathways. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to NOS1, this antibody allows for the identification and analysis of NOS1 in various cell types, making it an essential component for studies in neuroscience, cardiovascular research, and inflammation.NOS1, also known as neuronal nitric oxide synthase, plays a pivotal role in regulating neurotransmission, vascular tone, and immune response.
Dysregulation of NOS1 has been implicated in various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders, cardiovascular diseases, and inflammatory conditions. Understanding the functions and mechanisms of NOS1 can provide valuable insights into potential therapeutic targets for these diseases.Overall, the NOS1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB12795) is a critical tool for researchers seeking to unravel the complex roles of NOS1 in health and disease. Its high specificity and reliability make it an indispensable asset for studies aiming to elucidate the molecular pathways involving nitric oxide signaling.

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the family of nitric oxide synthases, which synthesize nitric oxide from L-arginine. Nitric oxide is a reactive free radical, which acts as a biologic mediator in several processes, including neurotransmission, and antimicrobial and antitumoral activities. In the brain and peripheral nervous system, nitric oxide displays many properties of a neurotransmitter, and has been implicated in neurotoxicity associated with stroke and neurodegenerative diseases, neural regulation of smooth muscle, including peristalsis, and penile erection. This protein is ubiquitously expressed, with high level of expression in skeletal muscle. Multiple transcript variants that differ in the 5' UTR have been described for this gene but the full-length nature of these transcripts is not known. Additionally, alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms (some testis-specific) have been found for this gene.
