The NLRP1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB16212) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the NLRP1 protein, a key component of the innate immune system. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding specifically to NLRP1, researchers can accurately detect and analyze the protein in various cell types, making it an essential tool for investigations in immunology, infectious diseases, and inflammation.NLRP1 is a critical component of the inflammasome, a multiprotein complex responsible for initiating inflammatory responses in the presence of pathogens or cellular stress.
Dysregulation of NLRP1 has been implicated in a variety of inflammatory disorders, making it a promising target for therapeutic interventions. By understanding the function and regulation of NLRP1, researchers can develop novel treatments for conditions such as autoinflammatory diseases, infectious diseases, and cancer. Overall, the NLRP1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB16212) provides researchers with a reliable tool for studying the role of NLRP1 in immune responses and inflammatory processes, leading to potential advancements in the development of targeted therapies for a range of diseases.

This gene encodes a member of the Ced-4 family of apoptosis proteins. Ced-family members contain a caspase recruitment domain (CARD) and are known to be key mediators of programmed cell death. The encoded protein contains a distinct N-terminal pyrin-like motif, which is possibly involved in protein-protein interactions. This protein interacts strongly with caspase 2 and weakly with caspase 9. Overexpression of this gene was demonstrated to induce apoptosis in cells. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene, but the biological validity of some variants has not been determined.
