The Neurofascin Polyclonal Antibody (CAB3053) is a powerful tool for researchers studying neurofascin, a cell adhesion molecule important for the assembly and maintenance of nodes of Ranvier in the nervous system. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity towards human samples and has been validated for use in various applications, including Western blotting.Neurofascin is a key player in the organization of neuronal networks and the proper functioning of nerve cells. Dysregulation of neurofascin expression has been implicated in disorders affecting the nervous system, such as multiple sclerosis and autism spectrum disorders.
By targeting neurofascin with this antibody, researchers can gain valuable insights into the role of this molecule in neurological diseases and potentially identify new therapeutic targets. The Neurofascin Polyclonal Antibody (CAB3053) is a valuable tool for scientists working in the fields of neuroscience, neurobiology, and neuroimmunology. Its specificity and sensitivity make it an essential component of experiments aimed at unraveling the complex mechanisms underlying neuronal development, function, and pathology.

This gene encodes an L1 family immunoglobulin cell adhesion molecule with multiple IGcam and fibronectin domains. The protein functions in neurite outgrowth, neurite fasciculation, and organization of the axon initial segment (AIS) and nodes of Ranvier on axons during early development. Both the AIS and nodes of Ranvier contain high densities of voltage-gated Na+ (Nav) channels which are clustered by interactions with cytoskeletal and scaffolding proteins including this protein, gliomedin, ankyrin 3 (ankyrin-G), and betaIV spectrin. This protein links the AIS extracellular matrix to the intracellular cytoskeleton. This gene undergoes extensive alternative splicing, and the full-length nature of some variants has not been determined.
