The NDUFAF1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB15835) is a valuable tool for researchers studying NDUFAF1, a protein involved in the assembly of Complex I in the mitochondrial respiratory chain. This antibody, generated in rabbits, specifically targets human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the NDUFAF1 protein, researchers can accurately detect and analyze its expression in various cell types, making it ideal for investigations in bioenergetics and mitochondrial function.NDUFAF1 plays a crucial role in the maintenance of mitochondrial function and energy production, making it a key player in numerous cellular processes.
Research into NDUFAF1 can provide insights into mitochondrial dysfunction, oxidative stress, and metabolic disorders, offering potential therapeutic targets for conditions such as neurodegenerative diseases, metabolic syndromes, and aging-related disorders. Understanding the role of NDUFAF1 is essential for advancing our knowledge of mitochondrial biology and developing strategies for treating associated diseases.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-327 of human NDUFAF1 (NP_057097.2).
This gene encodes a complex I assembly factor protein. Complex I (NADH-ubiquinone oxidoreductase) catalyzes the transfer of electrons from NADH to ubiquinone (coenzyme Q) in the first step of the mitochondrial respiratory chain, resulting in the translocation of protons across the inner mitochondrial membrane. The encoded protein is required for assembly of complex I, and mutations in this gene are a cause of mitochondrial complex I deficiency. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been observed for this gene, and a pseudogene of this gene is located on the long arm of chromosome 19.
