The NDUFA13 (GRIM-19) Polyclonal Antibody is a powerful tool for researchers studying the complex role of NDUFA13 (GRIM-19) in cellular respiration and metabolism. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By targeting the NDUFA13 (GRIM-19) protein, this antibody allows for precise detection and analysis in various cell types, making it an invaluable asset for investigations in areas such as biochemistry and mitochondrial biology.
NDUFA13 (GRIM-19) is a critical subunit of the mitochondrial respiratory chain complex I, essential for ATP production and cellular energy metabolism. Dysregulation of NDUFA13 (GRIM-19) has been associated with a variety of diseases, including metabolic disorders and neurodegenerative conditions. By elucidating the function of NDUFA13 (GRIM-19), researchers can gain insights into these pathologies and potentially identify new therapeutic targets for intervention.

Recombinant Protein corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 52-144 of human NDUFA13/GRIM19 (NP_057049.5).
This gene encodes a subunit of the mitochondrial membrane respiratory chain NADH dehydrogenase (Complex I), which functions in the transfer of electrons from NADH to the respiratory chain. The protein is required for complex I assembly and electron transfer activity. The protein binds the signal transducers and activators of transcription 3 (STAT3) transcription factor, and can function as a tumor suppressor. The human protein purified from mitochondria migrates at approximately 16 kDa. Transcripts originating from an upstream promoter and capable of expressing a protein with a longer N-terminus have been found, but their biological validity has not been determined.
