The NDUFA12 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB8237) is a valuable tool for researchers studying NDUFA12, a subunit of the mitochondrial respiratory chain complex I. This antibody, produced using rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the NDUFA12 protein, this antibody enables accurate detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it ideal for research in areas such as bioenergetics, mitochondrial dysfunction, and metabolic disorders.
NDUFA12 is essential for the function of complex I in the mitochondrial respiratory chain, playing a key role in energy production in cells. Dysregulation of NDUFA12 has been linked to various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders and metabolic diseases. Research into the function and regulation of NDUFA12 is crucial for understanding the mechanisms underlying these conditions and developing potential therapeutic interventions targeting mitochondrial function.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-145 of human NDUFA12 (NP_061326.1).
This gene encodes a protein which is part of mitochondrial complex 1, part of the oxidative phosphorylation system in mitochondria. Complex 1 transfers electrons to ubiquinone from NADH which establishes a proton gradient for the generation of ATP. Mutations in this gene are associated with Leigh syndrome due to mitochondrial complex 1 deficiency. Pseudogenes of this gene are located on chromosomes 5 and 13. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
