Description
NCS1 Monoclonal Antibody [PAT11B8AT] (CPAB0666)
The NCS1 Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0666) is a specialized tool for research involving NCS1, a protein that plays a key role in neuronal calcium signaling. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific and reactive with human and other species samples, making it a versatile option for a variety of experimental designs.NCS1, also known as neuronal calcium sensor 1, is involved in the regulation of intracellular calcium levels and neuronal function. It is implicated in processes such as neurotransmitter release, synaptic plasticity, and neuronal development. The NCS1 Polyclonal Antibody binds to NCS1 protein, allowing for precise detection and analysis in various cell types and tissues.
This makes it an essential tool for studies in neuroscience, neurology, and related fields.Understanding the function of NCS1 is crucial for advancing knowledge of neuronal signaling pathways and their implications in neurological disorders such as Parkinson's disease, schizophrenia, and epilepsy. By facilitating the study of NCS1 protein expression and localization, the NCS1 Polyclonal Antibody opens up new possibilities for research into the mechanisms underlying these conditions, ultimately paving the way for the development of novel therapeutic strategies.

Background: | NCS1 is part of the neuronal calcium sensor gene family, which encode calcium-binding proteins expressed primarily in neurons. NCS1 regulates G protein-coupled receptor phosphorylation in a calcium-dependent manner and can substitute for calmodulin. NCS1 is related with secretory granules and modulates synaptic transmission and synaptic plasticity. NCS1 regulates GRK1 and substitutes for calmodulin. NCS1 stimulates PI4KB kinase activity and participates in long-term synaptic plasticity through its interaction with PICK1. NCS1 takes part in neuron differentiation through inhibition of the activity of N-type voltage-gated calcium channel. |
