The NAPA Polyclonal Antibody (CAB7946) is a valuable tool for researchers studying NAPA, a protein involved in vesicle trafficking and membrane fusion processes within cells. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in immunofluorescence and immunohistochemistry applications. By specifically binding to the NAPA protein, this antibody allows for precise detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it ideal for investigations in cell biology and neurobiology.
NAPA, also known as alpha-SNAP, plays a crucial role in regulating intracellular membrane fusion events, such as synaptic vesicle exocytosis and neurotransmitter release. Dysregulation of NAPA function has been implicated in neurodegenerative diseases, making it an attractive target for therapeutic interventions. The use of the NAPA Polyclonal Antibody in research can provide insight into the mechanisms underlying these diseases and aid in the development of targeted therapies to address them.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-295 of human Alpha SNAP (NP_003818.2).
This gene encodes a member of the soluble NSF attachment protein (SNAP) family. SNAP proteins play a critical role in the docking and fusion of vesicles to target membranes as part of the 20S NSF-SNAP-SNARE complex. The encoded protein plays a role in the completion of membrane fusion by mediating the interaction of N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor (NSF) with the vesicle-associated and membrane-associated SNAP receptor (SNARE) complex, and stimulating the ATPase activity of NSF. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been observed for this gene.
