The Na+/K+ ATPase Polyclonal Antibody (AB10010) is specifically designed for research involving the Na+/K+ pump, an essential membrane protein responsible for maintaining the electrochemical gradients of sodium and potassium ions across cell membranes. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly reactive with human and mouse samples, and has been validated for use in various applications, including Western blot and immunohistochemistry. The Na+/K+ ATPase is a crucial enzyme that plays a vital role in numerous physiological processes, such as nerve conduction, muscle contraction, and maintenance of cell volume.
Dysregulation of the Na+/K+ pump has been associated with various diseases, including hypertension, heart failure, and neurological disorders. This antibody allows for the detection and analysis of the Na+/K+ ATPase protein in different cell types, making it an invaluable tool for researchers studying ion transport, cell signaling, and disease mechanisms related to the Na+/K+ pump. Overall, the Na+/K+ ATPase Polyclonal Antibody offers a reliable and specific tool for investigating the function and regulation of this essential membrane protein in both normal and pathological conditions.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 386-595 of human Na /K -ATPase(NP_000692.2).
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the family of P-type cation transport ATPases, and to the subfamily of Na+/K+ -ATPases. Na+/K+ -ATPase is an integral membrane protein responsible for establishing and maintaining the electrochemical gradients of Na and K ions across the plasma membrane. These gradients are essential for osmoregulation, for sodium-coupled transport of a variety of organic and inorganic molecules, and for electrical excitability of nerve and muscle. This enzyme is composed of two subunits, a large catalytic subunit (alpha) and a smaller glycoprotein subunit (beta). The catalytic subunit of Na+/K+ -ATPase is encoded by multiple genes. This gene encodes an alpha 1 subunit. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
