The Myo5a Polyclonal Antibody (CAB9830) is a valuable tool for researchers studying Myo5a, a motor protein involved in intracellular transport and cell migration. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity towards human samples, making it ideal for use in various research applications such as Western blot and immunofluorescence.Myo5a plays a crucial role in facilitating the movement of vesicles and organelles within cells, making it essential for cellular processes such as protein trafficking and cell division. Dysregulation of Myo5a has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and neurological disorders, highlighting the importance of studying its function and regulation.
By using the Myo5a Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can confidently detect and analyze Myo5a protein levels in different cell types and tissue samples, providing valuable insights into its role in cellular physiology and disease pathogenesis. This antibody is a valuable tool for furthering our understanding of Myo5a and its potential as a therapeutic target for various diseases.

This gene is one of three myosin V heavy-chain genes, belonging to the myosin gene superfamily. Myosin V is a class of actin-based motor proteins involved in cytoplasmic vesicle transport and anchorage, spindle-pole alignment and mRNA translocation. The protein encoded by this gene is abundant in melanocytes and nerve cells. Mutations in this gene cause Griscelli syndrome type-1 (GS1), Griscelli syndrome type-3 (GS3) and neuroectodermal melanolysosomal disease, or Elejalde disease. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been reported, but the full-length nature of some variants has not been determined.
