The MYH11 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (CAB4064) is a powerful tool for researchers studying MYH11, a key protein involved in smooth muscle contraction. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity specifically with MYH11 in human samples, making it ideal for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the MYH11 protein, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it essential for studies in vascular biology, smooth muscle research, and cardiovascular disease.MYH11 is a critical component of smooth muscle cells, playing a crucial role in regulating blood pressure, vascular tone, and overall cardiovascular function.
Aberrant expression or mutations in MYH11 have been implicated in various vascular disorders, including aortic aneurysms and hypertension. By studying MYH11 with this antibody, researchers can gain valuable insights into the mechanisms underlying these conditions and potentially identify new therapeutic targets for cardiovascular diseases.Overall, the MYH11 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (CAB4064) is a reliable tool for researchers seeking to understand the function and regulation of MYH11 in physiological and pathological contexts. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an essential reagent for investigations into smooth muscle biology and cardiovascular health.

The protein encoded by this gene is a smooth muscle myosin belonging to the myosin heavy chain family. The gene product is a subunit of a hexameric protein that consists of two heavy chain subunits and two pairs of non-identical light chain subunits. It functions as a major contractile protein, converting chemical energy into mechanical energy through the hydrolysis of ATP. A chromosomal rearrangement involving this gene is associated with acute myeloid leukemia of the M4Eo subtype. Mutations in this gene are associated with visceral myopathy, megacystis-microcolon-intestinal hypoperistalsis syndrome 2, and familial thoracic aortic aneurysm 4.
