Description
MYD88 Monoclonal Antibody [PAT22F11A] (CPAB0575)
The MyD88 Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0575) is a valuable tool for researchers studying MyD88, a key adaptor protein in the Toll-like receptor and interleukin-1 receptor signaling pathways. This antibody is produced in rabbits and exhibits high reactivity with human samples, making it suitable for use in Western blot and immunohistochemistry applications.MyD88 is essential for the activation of innate immune responses to pathogens and plays a critical role in the initiation of inflammatory signaling pathways. Dysregulation of MyD88 signaling has been implicated in various diseases, including infectious diseases, autoimmune disorders, and cancer.
By targeting MyD88 with this antibody, researchers can gain valuable insights into the mechanisms underlying these conditions and potentially develop new therapeutic strategies. This antibody specifically binds to the MyD88 protein, allowing for the detection and analysis of MyD88 expression in different cell types and tissues. Its reliability and specificity make it an ideal tool for immunology and oncology research, providing valuable data for understanding MyD88 function and its implications in disease progression.

Background: | Myeloid differentiation primary response gene 88 (MYD88) is a cytosolic adapter protein, which has a central role in the innate and adaptive immune response. MYD88 functions as a vital signal transducer in the interleukin-1 and Toll-like receptor signaling pathways. MYD88 acts via IRAK1, IRAK2, IRF7 and TRAF6, leading to NF-kappa-B activation, cytokine secretion and the inflammatory response. The MYD88 protein increases IL-8 transcription. MYD88 is involved in IL-18-mediated signaling pathway. MYD88 activates IRF1, resulting in its rapid migration into the nucleus to mediate an efficient induction of IFN-beta, NOS2/INOS, and IL12A genes. MYD88 is comprised of an N-terminal death domain and a C-terminal Toll-interleukin1 receptor domain. Patients with defects in the MYD88 gene have an increased susceptibility to pyogenic bacterial infections. |
