The MT1-MMP Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody is a high-quality antibody specifically designed for research involving MT1-MMP, a key enzyme involved in extracellular matrix remodeling and cell migration processes. This antibody, generated in rabbits, is highly specific and sensitive for detecting MT1-MMP in various sample types, including human tissues.MT1-MMP, also known as membrane type 1-matrix metalloproteinase, plays a crucial role in tumor invasion, metastasis, and angiogenesis, making it a valuable target for cancer research. The MT1-MMP antibody is validated for use in Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and other molecular biology techniques, allowing researchers to study the expression and activity of this enzyme in different cell types and tissues.
By using the MT1-MMP Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody, researchers can gain valuable insights into the mechanisms underlying cancer progression and metastasis, as well as explore potential therapeutic strategies targeting MT1-MMP for cancer treatment. This antibody is a valuable tool for studies in oncology, cell biology, and molecular medicine, providing accurate and reliable results for advancing our understanding of MT1-MMP function in health and disease.

Proteins of the matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) family are involved in the breakdown of extracellular matrix in normal physiological processes, such as embryonic development, reproduction, and tissue remodeling, as well as in disease processes, such as arthritis and metastasis. Most MMP's are secreted as inactive proproteins which are activated when cleaved by extracellular proteinases. However, the protein encoded by this gene is a member of the membrane-type MMP (MT-MMP) subfamily; each member of this subfamily contains a potential transmembrane domain suggesting that these proteins are expressed at the cell surface rather than secreted. This protein activates MMP2 protein, and this activity may be involved in tumor invasion.
