The MS4A2 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB8543) is specifically designed for research involving MS4A2, a cell surface molecule known for its involvement in allergic reactions and asthma. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the MS4A2 protein, researchers can effectively detect and analyze its presence in various cell types, making it an invaluable tool for studies in immunology and respiratory diseases.MS4A2, also referred to as the mast cell-specific receptor, plays a crucial role in regulating mast cell activation and degranulation, which are key processes in allergic responses.
Understanding the function of MS4A2 is essential in unraveling the mechanisms underlying allergic diseases like asthma and in developing targeted therapies to alleviate symptoms and improve patient outcomes.Overall, the MS4A2 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB8543) offers researchers a reliable and accurate tool for investigating the role of MS4A2 in allergic reactions and respiratory disorders, paving the way for advancements in the treatment and management of these conditions.

The allergic response involves the binding of allergen to receptor-bound IgE followed by cell activation and the release of mediators responsible for the manifestations of allergy. The IgE-receptor, a tetramer composed of an alpha, beta, and 2 disulfide-linked gamma chains, is found on the surface of mast cells and basophils. This gene encodes the beta subunit of the high affinity IgE receptor which is a member of the membrane-spanning 4A gene family. Members of this nascent protein family are characterized by common structural features and similar intron/exon splice boundaries and display unique expression patterns among hematopoietic cells and nonlymphoid tissues. This family member is localized to 11q12, among a cluster of membrane-spanning 4A gene family members. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct proteins. Additional transcript variants have been described but require experimental validation.
