The MRPS9 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB11729) is a valuable tool for research involving MRPS9, a key protein involved in mitochondrial ribosome biogenesis. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in various applications, including Western blotting.MRPS9 is a crucial component of the mitochondrial ribosome, playing a role in protein synthesis within the mitochondria. Dysregulation of MRPS9 has been linked to various diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders.
As such, studying the function of MRPS9 is essential for understanding mitochondrial protein synthesis and its implications in disease pathology. With its specificity and reliability, the MRPS9 Polyclonal Antibody is an essential tool for researchers investigating mitochondrial ribosome biogenesis and its involvement in various cellular processes and diseases. Its use can advance our understanding of mitochondrial function and potentially lead to the development of novel therapeutic strategies targeting mitochondrial protein synthesis.

Mammalian mitochondrial ribosomal proteins are encoded by nuclear genes and help in protein synthesis within the mitochondrion. Mitochondrial ribosomes (mitoribosomes) consist of a small 28S subunit and a large 39S subunit. They have an estimated 75% protein to rRNA composition compared to prokaryotic ribosomes, where this ratio is reversed. Another difference between mammalian mitoribosomes and prokaryotic ribosomes is that the latter contain a 5S rRNA. Among different species, the proteins comprising the mitoribosome differ greatly in sequence, and sometimes in biochemical properties, which prevents easy recognition by sequence homology. This gene encodes a 28S subunit protein.
