The MRPL34 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB17761) is a valuable tool for researchers studying MRPL34, a mitochondrial ribosomal protein involved in protein synthesis. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity for human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the MRPL34 protein, this antibody enables detection and analysis in various cell types, making it an ideal choice for studies in molecular biology and mitochondrial function research.MRPL34 plays a crucial role in mitochondrial protein synthesis, contributing to the functioning of the mitochondria and cellular energy production.
Dysregulation of MRPL34 has been linked to various diseases, including metabolic disorders and cancer. Understanding the function and regulation of MRPL34 is essential for uncovering the mechanisms underlying these conditions and developing potential therapeutic interventions. Researchers can rely on the MRPL34 Polyclonal Antibody to facilitate their investigations into the role of MRPL34 in health and disease.

Mammalian mitochondrial ribosomal proteins are encoded by nuclear genes and help in protein synthesis within the mitochondrion. Mitochondrial ribosomes (mitoribosomes) consist of a small 28S subunit and a large 39S subunit. They have an estimated 75% protein to rRNA composition compared to prokaryotic ribosomes, where this ratio is reversed. Another difference between mammalian mitoribosomes and prokaryotic ribosomes is that the latter contain a 5S rRNA. Among different species, the proteins comprising the mitoribosome differ greatly in sequence, and sometimes in biochemical properties, which prevents easy recognition by sequence homology. This gene encodes a 39S subunit protein.
