Description
MRPL3 Antibody (PACO28346)
The MRPL3 Antibody (PAC028346) is a vital tool for researchers studying mitochondrial ribosomal protein L3 (MRPL3), a key component of the mitochondrial ribosome. This polyclonal antibody, produced in rabbits, demonstrates high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding specifically to MRPL3, researchers can effectively detect and analyze this important protein in a variety of cell types, making it ideal for studies in mitochondrial biology and related research fields.MRPL3 is essential for mitochondrial protein synthesis, playing a critical role in maintaining mitochondrial function and overall cellular metabolism.
Dysregulation of MRPL3 has been linked to various diseases, including metabolic disorders, neurodegenerative conditions, and cancer. By investigating the function and regulation of MRPL3, researchers can gain valuable insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying these diseases and potentially identify new therapeutic targets for intervention. The MRPL3 Antibody offers researchers a powerful tool for investigating the role of MRPL3 in cellular physiology and disease pathology. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an invaluable asset for studies aiming to unravel the complex functions of mitochondrial proteins and their implications for human health.

NCBI Summary: | Mammalian mitochondrial ribosomal proteins are encoded by nuclear genes and help in protein synthesis within the mitochondrion. Mitochondrial ribosomes (mitoribosomes) consist of a small 28S subunit and a large 39S subunit. They have an estimated 75% protein to rRNA composition compared to prokaryotic ribosomes, where this ratio is reversed. Another difference between mammalian mitoribosomes and prokaryotic ribosomes is that the latter contain a 5S rRNA. Among different species, the proteins comprising the mitoribosome differ greatly in sequence, and sometimes in biochemical properties, which prevents easy recognition by sequence homology. This gene encodes a 39S subunit protein that belongs to the L3P ribosomal protein family. A pseudogene corresponding to this gene is found on chromosome 13q. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008] |
