The MRE11 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (CAB4222) is a highly specific antibody designed for research involving the MRE11 protein, a key player in DNA damage repair and maintenance of genome stability. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in various applications such as Western blot and immunofluorescence.MRE11 is essential for detection and repair of DNA double-strand breaks, making it a crucial component in the cell's response to DNA damage and maintenance of genomic integrity. Dysregulation of MRE11 function has been linked to various DNA repair defects and genomic instability, which are common features of cancer development and progression.
The MRE11 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (CAB4222) enables precise detection and analysis of MRE11 protein levels in different cellular contexts, making it an invaluable tool for researchers studying DNA repair mechanisms, genomic stability, and cancer biology. Understanding the role of MRE11 in DNA damage response pathways is critical for developing targeted therapies for cancer and other diseases characterized by genomic instability.

This gene encodes a nuclear protein involved in homologous recombination, telomere length maintenance, and DNA double-strand break repair. By itself, the protein has 3' to 5' exonuclease activity and endonuclease activity. The protein forms a complex with the RAD50 homolog; this complex is required for nonhomologous joining of DNA ends and possesses increased single-stranded DNA endonuclease and 3' to 5' exonuclease activities. In conjunction with a DNA ligase, this protein promotes the joining of noncomplementary ends in vitro using short homologies near the ends of the DNA fragments. This gene has a pseudogene on chromosome 3. Alternative splicing of this gene results in two transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
