The Mouse IAPP (Islet Amyloid Polypeptide) ELISA Kit is a high-quality assay kit designed for the accurate quantification of IAPP levels in mouse serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. This kit features a high level of sensitivity and specificity, ensuring precise and reliable results for a wide range of research applications.IAPP is a key peptide hormone that plays a crucial role in regulating glucose homeostasis and energy metabolism.
Dysregulation of IAPP is implicated in the pathogenesis of type 2 diabetes, making it a valuable biomarker for studying diabetes and related metabolic disorders. This ELISA kit provides researchers with a powerful tool for investigating the role of IAPP in disease pathogenesis and developing potential therapeutic interventions.

This ELISA kit uses the Competitive-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with IAPP. During the reaction, IAPP in the sample or standard competes with a fixed amount of IAPP on the solid phase supporter for sites on the Biotinylated Detection Ab specific to IAPP. Excess conjugate and unbound sample or standard are washed away, and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added to each micro plate well and incubated. Then a TMB substrate solution is added to each well. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns from blue to yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 2 nm. The concentration of IAPP in tested samples can be calculated by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
