The FITC-conjugated IM7-AGEL1275 Mouse Anti-Human CD44 Monoclonal Antibody offered by AssayGenie is a high-quality tool designed for researchers studying CD44, a multifunctional cell surface glycoprotein involved in cell adhesion, migration, and signaling. This monoclonal antibody, derived from mice, is optimized for detecting CD44 in human samples and is particularly suitable for flow cytometry applications.CD44, a prominent cell adhesion molecule with diverse functions in immunity, development, and cancer progression, is known for its role in regulating cell-cell interactions and participating in inflammatory responses. The IM7-AGEL1275 antibody specifically recognizes the CD44 antigen, allowing for precise and reliable detection in various experimental settings.
Its FITC conjugation ensures easy visualization and quantification of CD44-expressing cells, making it an essential tool for immunologists and cancer biologists alike.By targeting CD44, researchers can investigate its involvement in processes such as lymphocyte activation, lymphoid organ development, and tumor metastasis, paving the way for a better understanding of immune regulation and disease pathogenesis. The IM7-AGEL1275 antibody's sensitivity and specificity make it an invaluable asset for exploring the intricate mechanisms of CD44-mediated signaling pathways, ultimately contributing to advancements in immunotherapy and oncology research.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used 5 µL of antibody per test (million cells in 100 µL staining volume or per 100 µL of whole blood). Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use.

Background:
CD44 is a 80-95 kD glycoprotein also known as Hermes, Pgp1, H-CAM, or HUTCH. It is expressed on all leukocytes, endothelial cells, hepatocytes, and mesenchymal cells. As B and T cells become activated or progress to the memory stage, CD44 expression increases from low or mid levels to high levels. Thus, CD44 has been reported to be a valuable marker for memory cell subsets. High CD44 expression on Treg cells has been associated with potent suppressive function via high production of IL-10. CD44 is an adhesion molecule involved in leukocyte attachment to and rolling on endothelial cells, homing to peripheral lymphoid organs and to the sites of inflammation, and leukocyte aggregation.
