The Mouse Human CD44 Monoclonal Antibody (AF647 Conjugated, IM7) is a powerful tool for research involving CD44, a transmembrane glycoprotein involved in cell adhesion and migration. This monoclonal antibody, conjugated with AF647 for fluorescence applications, is reactive with both mouse and human samples, providing versatility for a range of experimental setups.CD44 is a multifunctional molecule known to play important roles in various physiological and pathological processes, including inflammation, tissue repair, and cancer metastasis. By targeting CD44, researchers can investigate its involvement in cell signaling pathways, metastatic potential, and interactions with the extracellular matrix.
This antibody, clone IM7, specifically binds to CD44, allowing for precise detection and localization of the protein in different cell types and tissues. Its conjugation with AF647 enables easy visualization and quantification of CD44 expression, making it ideal for flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, and other fluorescence-based assays. For studies focusing on cell adhesion, migration, or cancer biology, the Mouse Human CD44 Monoclonal Antibody (AF647 Conjugated, IM7) offers reliable and reproducible results, opening up new avenues for understanding the complex functions of CD44 in health and disease.

Background:
CD44 is a 80-95 kD glycoprotein also known as Hermes, Pgp1, H-CAM, or HUTCH. It is expressed on all leukocytes, endothelial cells, hepatocytes, and mesenchymal cells. As B and T cells become activated or progress to the memory stage, CD44 expression increases from low or mid levels to high levels. Thus, CD44 has been reported to be a valuable marker for memory cell subsets. High CD44 expression on Treg cells has been associated with potent suppressive function via high production of IL-10. CD44 is an adhesion molecule involved in leukocyte attachment to and rolling on endothelial cells, homing to peripheral lymphoid organs and to the sites of inflammation, and leukocyte aggregation.
