The Mouse Human CD11b Monoclonal Antibody (PE-Cyanine5 Conjugated) - M1/70 (AGEL1108) offered by AssayGenie is a crucial tool for immunologists and researchers studying immune cell populations. This monoclonal antibody targets CD11b, a cell surface marker primarily found on monocytes, macrophages, and granulocytes in both mice and humans. The PE-Cyanine5 conjugation allows for fluorescent detection, enhancing the ability to analyze and sort CD11b-expressing cells using flow cytometry.CD11b is a key integrin involved in cell adhesion and migration, playing a pivotal role in inflammatory responses and tissue repair processes. By specifically binding to CD11b, this monoclonal antibody enables precise identification and quantification of myeloid cell subsets within complex cell populations.
Its validated performance in various assays ensures reliable and reproducible results, making it an essential tool for studies focusing on immune cell function, inflammation, and infection responses in both preclinical and clinical research settings.Overall, the Mouse Human CD11b Monoclonal Antibody (PE-Cyanine5 Conjugated) - M1/70 (AGEL1108) is a valuable asset for researchers investigating the intricate mechanisms of immune cell activation and function in health and disease, providing insights that could lead to the development of novel therapeutic approaches for a wide range of conditions, including inflammatory disorders, infectious diseases, and cancer.

Background:
CD11b is a 170 kD glycoprotein also known as αM integrin, Mac-1 α subunit, Mol, CR3, and Ly-40. CD11b is a member of the integrin family, primarily expressed on granulocytes, monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells, NK cells, and subsets of T and B cells. CD11b non-covalently associates with CD18 (β2 integrin) to form Mac-1. Mac-1 plays an important role in cell-cell interaction by binding its ligands ICAM-1 (CD54), ICAM-2 (CD102), ICAM-4 (CD242), iC3b, and fibrinogen.
