The Mouse/Human CD11b Monoclonal Antibody (PE-conjugated, M1/70) is a versatile tool for researchers studying immune cell populations expressing CD11b, a well-known marker of myeloid cells. This antibody, conjugated to the fluorochrome phycoerythrin (PE), offers reliable detection and analysis of CD11b-expressing cells in flow cytometry applications.CD11b, also known as integrin alpha M, is a key adhesion molecule involved in various immune responses, including cell adhesion, migration, and phagocytosis. Its expression on myeloid cells, such as monocytes, macrophages, and granulocytes, makes it a valuable indicator for studying immune cell activation and differentiation.
The monoclonal antibody M1/70 specifically recognizes CD11b in both mouse and human samples, allowing researchers to compare and analyze immune cell populations across species. Its PE conjugation enables easy detection of CD11b-positive cells in flow cytometry experiments, providing valuable insights into the role of myeloid cells in immune responses, inflammation, and disease pathology.Whether investigating the immune response to infection, inflammation, or cancer, the Mouse/Human CD11b Monoclonal Antibody (PE-conjugated, M1/70) is a reliable tool for researchers seeking to characterize and quantify CD11b-expressing cells in diverse biological samples.

Background:
CD11b is a 170 kD glycoprotein also known as αM integrin, Mac-1 α subunit, Mol, CR3, and Ly-40. CD11b is a member of the integrin family, primarily expressed on granulocytes, monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells, NK cells, and subsets of T and B cells. CD11b non-covalently associates with CD18 (β2 integrin) to form Mac-1. Mac-1 plays an important role in cell-cell interaction by binding its ligands ICAM-1 (CD54), ICAM-2 (CD102), ICAM-4 (CD242), iC3b, and fibrinogen.
