The Mouse/Human CD11b Monoclonal Antibody (FITC Conjugated) M1/70 (AGEL0306) is a highly specific antibody designed for research involving the CD11b protein, a cell surface marker that is a key component of the innate immune system. This monoclonal antibody is optimized for both mouse and human samples and is conjugated with FITC for easy detection in flow cytometry and immunofluorescence applications.CD11b, also known as integrin alpha M, is primarily expressed on the surface of myeloid cells such as monocytes, macrophages, and granulocytes, playing a crucial role in cell adhesion, migration, and phagocytosis.
Its involvement in the immune response makes it a valuable marker for studying inflammation, infection, and immune cell interactions. With its high specificity and versatility in detecting CD11b in various cell types, the Mouse/Human CD11b Monoclonal Antibody (FITC Conjugated) M1/70 (AGEL0306) is an essential tool for researchers exploring immunology, inflammation, and infectious diseases. It enables precise analysis and visualization of CD11b expression, providing valuable insights into the function and behavior of myeloid cells in both mouse and human samples.

Background:
CD11b is a 170 kD glycoprotein also known as αM integrin, Mac-1 α subunit, Mol, CR3, and Ly-40. CD11b is a member of the integrin family, primarily expressed on granulocytes, monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells, NK cells, and subsets of T and B cells. CD11b non-covalently associates with CD18 (β2 integrin) to form Mac-1. Mac-1 plays an important role in cell-cell interaction by binding its ligands ICAM-1 (CD54), ICAM-2 (CD102), ICAM-4 (CD242), iC3b, and fibrinogen.
