The Mouse/Human CD11b Monoclonal Antibody (Biotin Conjugated) - M1/70 (AGEL0305) offered by AssayGenie is a versatile tool for immunology and cell biology research. This antibody is designed to specifically target CD11b, a cell surface marker involved in various immune processes. With its biotin conjugation, this antibody enables easy detection and analysis in experimental setups that require biotin-streptavidin detection systems.CD11b, also known as integrin alpha M, is a key receptor expressed on the surface of monocytes, macrophages, and neutrophils. It plays crucial roles in mediating cell adhesion, migration, and phagocytosis, making it an essential marker for studying immune cell function.
By targeting CD11b, researchers can explore the dynamics of immune cell interactions, inflammatory responses, and immune cell activation in both mouse and human samples. This monoclonal antibody, produced using advanced technology and rigorous quality control measures, ensures high specificity and sensitivity in experiments such as flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, and immunoprecipitation. Researchers can rely on the precision and accuracy of the Mouse/Human CD11b Monoclonal Antibody - M1/70 (AGEL0305) to advance their understanding of immune responses, inflammatory pathways, and immune cell behavior in health and disease states.

Background:
CD11b is a 170 kD glycoprotein also known as αM integrin, Mac-1 α subunit, Mol, CR3, and Ly-40. CD11b is a member of the integrin family, primarily expressed on granulocytes, monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells, NK cells, and subsets of T and B cells. CD11b non-covalently associates with CD18 (β2 integrin) to form Mac-1. Mac-1 plays an important role in cell-cell interaction by binding its ligands ICAM-1 (CD54), ICAM-2 (CD102), ICAM-4 (CD242), iC3b, and fibrinogen.
