The mouse/human CD11b Monoclonal Antibody (APC Conjugated, M1/70) provided by AssayGenie is a highly specific and reliable tool for examining CD11b expression in both mouse and human samples. The antibody, conjugated with allophycocyanin (APC), allows for easy visualization and analysis of CD11b, a cell surface marker primarily found on myeloid cells such as monocytes, macrophages, and granulocytes.By targeting the CD11b protein, this monoclonal antibody enables accurate detection and quantification of these important immune cells, making it an ideal choice for flow cytometry and immunofluorescence applications. The M1/70 antibody is rigorously validated to ensure high sensitivity and specificity, providing researchers with confidence in their experimental results.
CD11b plays a crucial role in immune responses, including phagocytosis, cell adhesion, and migration to sites of inflammation. Dysregulation of CD11b expression has been implicated in various diseases, such as inflammatory disorders, infections, and cancer. Therefore, investigating CD11b expression and function is essential for advancing our understanding of immune system dynamics and developing targeted therapeutic strategies.Overall, the mouse/human CD11b Monoclonal Antibody (APC Conjugated, M1/70) from AssayGenie is a valuable tool for researchers studying immune cell biology, inflammation, and related diseases in both mouse and human systems.

Background:
CD11b is a 170 kD glycoprotein also known as αM integrin, Mac-1 α subunit, Mol, CR3, and Ly-40. CD11b is a member of the integrin family, primarily expressed on granulocytes, monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells, NK cells, and subsets of T and B cells. CD11b non-covalently associates with CD18 (β2 integrin) to form Mac-1. Mac-1 plays an important role in cell-cell interaction by binding its ligands ICAM-1 (CD54), ICAM-2 (CD102), ICAM-4 (CD242), iC3b, and fibrinogen.
