The Mouse-Human CD11b Monoclonal Antibody (AF647 Conjugated) - M1/70 (AG1113) is a specialized tool designed for scientists working with CD11b, a cell surface protein involved in immune responses. This monoclonal antibody, conjugated with AF647 for enhanced detection, is suitable for use in flow cytometry and immunofluorescence techniques. It specifically targets the CD11b antigen, allowing for precise analysis and visualization of this molecule on both mouse and human cells.CD11b, also known as integrin alpha M, plays a crucial role in various immune processes, including phagocytosis and cell adhesion. Its expression is often associated with myeloid cells, such as macrophages and neutrophils, indicating its role in innate immunity.
Researchers studying inflammation, infection, or immune cell function can benefit from utilizing this antibody to investigate CD11b expression patterns and dynamics in different experimental systems. With its high specificity and reliable performance, the Mouse-Human CD11b Monoclonal Antibody (AF647 Conjugated) - M1/70 (AG1113) is an essential reagent for immunology studies, including investigations into inflammatory diseases, host-pathogen interactions, and immune cell behavior. Its use can provide valuable insights into the functions and regulation of CD11b, contributing to a deeper understanding of immune responses and potential therapeutic targets.

Background:
CD11b is a 170 kD glycoprotein also known as αM integrin, Mac-1 α subunit, Mol, CR3, and Ly-40. CD11b is a member of the integrin family, primarily expressed on granulocytes, monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells, NK cells, and subsets of T and B cells. CD11b non-covalently associates with CD18 (β2 integrin) to form Mac-1. Mac-1 plays an important role in cell-cell interaction by binding its ligands ICAM-1 (CD54), ICAM-2 (CD102), ICAM-4 (CD242), iC3b, and fibrinogen.
