The Mouse-Human CD11b Monoclonal Antibody (AF488 Conjugated, M1/70) is a versatile tool for researchers studying the CD11b protein, a key marker for myeloid cells involved in immune responses. This antibody is specifically designed to detect CD11b in both mouse and human samples, making it ideal for cross-species research applications. The M1/70 antibody, conjugated with AF488 for fluorescent detection, offers high sensitivity and specificity in a variety of experimental techniques, including flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry. Its ability to target CD11b allows for precise visualization and analysis of myeloid cells, aiding in the study of inflammation, infection, and immune system function.
CD11b, also known as integrin alpha M, plays a crucial role in cell adhesion and migration, particularly in the context of immune cell recruitment and phagocytosis. By targeting CD11b with this monoclonal antibody, researchers can gain insights into the behavior and function of myeloid cells in both normal physiological processes and disease states.Overall, the Mouse-Human CD11b Monoclonal Antibody (AF488 Conjugated, M1/70) provides researchers with a valuable tool for investigating the role of CD11b-expressing cells in immune responses, inflammation, and various pathological conditions. Its broad reactivity and reliable performance make it a valuable asset for studies in immunology, oncology, and related fields.

Background:
CD11b is a 170 kD glycoprotein also known as αM integrin, Mac-1 α subunit, Mol, CR3, and Ly-40. CD11b is a member of the integrin family, primarily expressed on granulocytes, monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells, NK cells, and subsets of T and B cells. CD11b non-covalently associates with CD18 (β2 integrin) to form Mac-1. Mac-1 plays an important role in cell-cell interaction by binding its ligands ICAM-1 (CD54), ICAM-2 (CD102), ICAM-4 (CD242), iC3b, and fibrinogen.
