The FITC-Conjugated Mouse F4/80 Monoclonal Antibody (CI:A3-1) is designed for advanced research targeting F4/80, a key cell surface molecule extensively expressed on tissue macrophages and critical for immune regulation. This monoclonal antibody, produced in mice, is highly specific to mouse F4/80 and validated for use in flow cytometry applications. The fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) conjugation ensures bright and stable green fluorescence, facilitating precise and reliable detection.F4/80, also known as EMR1 (Epidermal Growth Factor-like Module Containing Mucin-like Hormone Receptor-like 1), plays a crucial role in macrophage function and immune homeostasis by regulating inflammation and promoting tissue repair. Its significance in immune response modulation makes it a valuable target for research into diseases such as cancer, autoimmune disorders, and chronic inflammatory conditions.
The FITC-Conjugated Mouse F4/80 Monoclonal Antibody (CI:A3-1) is an indispensable tool for researchers aiming to elucidate the biology of macrophages and develop therapies that modulate immune function.By providing accurate and sensitive detection of F4/80, this antibody supports comprehensive studies of immune response pathways, contributing to the advancement of therapeutic strategies for autoimmune diseases, chronic inflammatory conditions, and cancer. Understanding the activity of F4/80 is crucial for developing novel immunotherapies that leverage or modulate macrophage function in various disease contexts. This antibody is essential for advancing research in immunology and cancer.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used 5 µL of antibody per test (million cells in 100 µL staining volume or per 100 µL of whole blood). Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use.

Background:
F4/80 is a 160 kD glycoprotein. It is characterized as a member of the epidermal growth factor (EGF)-transmembrane 7 (TM7) family. F4/80, also known as EMR1 or Ly71, has been widely used as a murine macrophage marker, which is expressed on the majority of tissue macrophages including peritoneal macrophages, macrophages in lung, gut, thymus and red pulp of spleen (but not on the macrophages located in T cell areas of the spleen, lymph node and Peyer's patch), Kuffer cells, Langerhans cells, and bone marrow stromal cells. F4/80 has also been shown on a subset of dendritic cells. The biological ligand of F4/80 has not been identified, but it has been reported that F4/80 is required for induction of CD8+ T cells-mediated peripheral tolerance.
