The Mouse CD80 Monoclonal Antibody (PE/Cyanine5 Conjugated, 16-10A1) is a cutting-edge tool designed for the detection of CD80, a crucial co-stimulatory molecule involved in immune activation and T cell response. This antibody, conjugated with PE/Cyanine5 for enhanced detection, is specifically tailored for flow cytometry applications. It exhibits high specificity and sensitivity in detecting mouse CD80, enabling precise analysis in various cell populations.CD80, also known as B7-1, plays a pivotal role in regulating T cell activation and mediating immune responses. Its expression on antigen-presenting cells provides essential co-stimulatory signals necessary for T cell activation and proliferation.
Research into CD80 function is vital for understanding immune regulation, immunity modulation, and the development of therapeutic strategies targeting immune-related diseases, such as autoimmune disorders and infectious diseases.By utilizing the Mouse CD80 Monoclonal Antibody (PE/Cyanine5 Conjugated, 16-10A1), researchers can delve deeper into the intricate mechanisms of immune activation and regulation. This antibody offers a reliable tool for investigating the role of CD80 in immune responses, paving the way for advancements in immunology, vaccine development, and immunotherapy research.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used 5 µL of antibody per test (million cells in 100 µL staining volume or per 100 µL of whole blood). Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use.

Background:
CD80 is a 60 kD highly glycosylated protein. It is a member of the Ig superfamily and is also known as B7-1, B7, and Ly-53. CD80 is constitutively expressed on dendritic cells and monocytes/macrophages, and inducibly expressed on activated B and T cells. The ligation of CD28 on T cells with CD80 and CD86 (B7-2) on antigen presenting cells (such as dendritic cells, macrophages, and B cells) elicits co-stimulation of T cells resulting in enhanced cell activation, proliferation, and cytokine production. CD80 appears to be expressed later in the immune response than CD86. CD80 can also bind to CD152, also known as CTLA-4, to deliver an inhibitory signal to T cells.
