The Mouse CD64 Monoclonal Antibody (PE Conjugated) X54-5/7.1 (AGEL1970) offered by Assay Genie is a potent tool for research applications involving the CD64 protein. CD64, also known as Fc gamma receptor I, is a cell surface molecule primarily found on macrophages and neutrophils, playing a crucial role in immune responses and phagocytosis. This monoclonal antibody, conjugated with Phycoerythrin (PE), provides a robust and specific binding to the CD64 protein in mouse samples. It is optimized for flow cytometry analysis, enabling precise detection and quantification of CD64-expressing cells in a variety of biological samples. Researchers in immunology, cell biology, and related fields can benefit from the high sensitivity and specificity of this antibody for studying the function and expression of CD64 in different experimental settings.
With its ability to target CD64, a key player in the immune system's response to pathogens and inflammation, this antibody is essential for investigations into immune cell activation, antibody-mediated immune responses, and inflammatory processes. By elucidating the role of CD64 in immune regulation and host defense, researchers can gain insights into conditions such as infectious diseases, autoimmune disorders, and inflammatory syndromes, opening avenues for therapeutic interventions and disease management strategies.

Background:
CD64 is a 72 kD single chain type I glycoprotein also known as FcγRI and FcRI. CD64 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and is expressed on monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells, and mast cells. The expression can be upregulated by IFN-γ stimulation. CD64 binds IgG immune complex. It plays a role in antigen capture, phagocytosis of IgG/antigen complexes, and antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC).
