The Mouse CD64 Monoclonal Antibody (FITC Conjugated) x54-5.7.1 (AGEL1969) offered by AssayGenie is a powerful tool for research involving CD64, a cell surface receptor known for its role in immune response modulation. This monoclonal antibody, derived from mice, is specifically designed for detecting and analyzing CD64 protein expression in various cell types.CD64, also known as FcγRI, is a high-affinity receptor for the Fc region of immunoglobulin G (IgG) and is involved in mediating phagocytosis and immune responses. The FITC conjugation of this antibody allows for fluorescent detection, making it ideal for flow cytometry and immunofluorescence applications.
Its high specificity and reactivity with mouse samples make it a valuable tool for immunology and infectious disease research.Understanding the expression and function of CD64 is essential for unraveling its contributions to immune activation, inflammation, and host defense mechanisms. This antibody provides researchers with a reliable means to investigate the role of CD64 in various physiological and pathological processes, offering insights that can aid in the development of novel therapeutic strategies for immune-related disorders and infectious diseases.

Background:
CD64 is a 72 kD single chain type I glycoprotein also known as FcγRI and FcRI. CD64 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and is expressed on monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells, and mast cells. The expression can be upregulated by IFN-γ stimulation. CD64 binds IgG immune complex. It plays a role in antigen capture, phagocytosis of IgG/antigen complexes, and antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC).
