The Mouse CD62L Monoclonal Antibody PE-Cyanine5 Conjugated (MEL-14) is a powerful tool for researchers studying immune cell interactions and migration. This antibody, conjugated with PE-Cyanine5, specifically targets CD62L, also known as L-selectin, a key cell adhesion molecule involved in lymphocyte trafficking and homing. With high specificity and sensitivity, the MEL-14 antibody recognizes CD62L in mouse samples, enabling precise detection and analysis in flow cytometry and immunofluorescence experiments. By targeting CD62L, researchers can investigate the role of this molecule in immune cell activation, inflammation, and immune surveillance.
CD62L is critical for lymphocyte homing to secondary lymphoid organs and inflammation sites, making it a crucial molecule in immune responses. Understanding the function and regulation of CD62L is essential for unraveling complex immune processes, such as immune cell recruitment and activation in various disease contexts. The Mouse CD62L Monoclonal Antibody PE-Cyanine5 Conjugated (MEL-14) from AssayGenie provides researchers with a reliable tool to delve deeper into the mechanisms governing immune cell trafficking and responses, paving the way for advancements in immunology research and the development of novel therapeutic strategies.

Background:
CD62L is a 74-95 kD glycoprotein also known as L-selectin, LECAM-1, Ly-22, LAM-1, and MEL-14. It is a member of the selectin family and is expressed on the majority of B and naïve T cells, a subset of memory T cells, monocytes, granulocytes, most thymocytes, and a subset of NK cells. CD62L is important in lymphocyte homing to high endothelial venules (HEV) in peripheral lymph nodes and leukocyte 'rolling' on activated endothelium. CD62L also contributes to neutrophil emigration at inflammatory sites. CD62L is rapidly shed from lymphocytes and neutrophils upon cellular activation and the expression levels of CD62L (in conjunction with other markers) have been used to distinguish naïve, effector, and memory T cells. CD62L has been reported to interact with CD34, GlyCAM-1, and MAdCAM-1.
