The Mouse CD5 Monoclonal Antibody (PerCP-Cyanine5.5 Conjugated, 53-7.3) is a valuable tool for researchers studying CD5, a cell surface glycoprotein predominantly expressed on T cells and involved in signal transduction and immune regulation. This antibody, conjugated with PerCP-Cyanine5.5, offers high sensitivity and specificity in flow cytometry applications, enabling accurate identification and analysis of CD5-expressing cells in various tissues and cell types.CD5, a marker of T cell lineage and activation, plays a crucial role in modulating immune responses and promoting tolerance. Its dysregulation has been implicated in autoimmune diseases, lymphoproliferative disorders, and inflammatory conditions.
By targeting CD5, researchers can gain insights into immune function, T cell signaling pathways, and the development of immune-related diseases. The Mouse CD5 Monoclonal Antibody (PerCP-Cyanine5.5 Conjugated, 53-7.3) is a reliable tool for investigating the role of CD5 in immune regulation, T cell biology, and disease pathogenesis. With its excellent performance in flow cytometry, this antibody facilitates precise and accurate detection of CD5 expression, making it a valuable asset for immunology research, cancer immunotherapy studies, and investigations into autoimmune conditions.

Background:
CD5 is a 67 kD protein, also known as Lyt-1, Ly-1, T1, Tp67, or Ly-12. It is a member of the scavenger receptor cysteine-rich protein superfamily (SRCR) and primarily expressed on thymocytes, T cells, and B-1 cells. Although mature α/β T cells express high levels of CD5, very few γ/δ T cells express this antigen. The interaction of CD5 with CD72, gp35-37, TCR, or BCR is involved in T and B cell activation.
