The Mouse CD5 Monoclonal Antibody PE-Cyanine7 Conjugated (53-7.3) is a valuable tool for research involving the CD5 molecule, a cell surface receptor primarily expressed on T cells and B-1a cells. This antibody, derived from mouse hybridoma cells, is conjugated with PE-Cyanine7 for fluorescent detection and flow cytometry applications, enabling precise analysis of CD5 expression in various immune cell populations.CD5, a transmembrane glycoprotein, is a key regulator of T and B cell activation and tolerance. Its involvement in modulating signal transduction pathways and immune responses makes it a crucial target for investigations in immunology, autoimmunity, and B cell malignancies.
By specifically binding to CD5, this antibody facilitates the identification and characterization of CD5-expressing cells, aiding in the study of immune cell development, activation, and dysregulation in disease states.Research utilizing the Mouse CD5 Monoclonal Antibody PE-Cyanine7 Conjugated (53-7.3) can provide insights into the roles of CD5 in immune system function and dysfunction, paving the way for the development of targeted therapies for immune-related disorders and cancer. Its high specificity and fluorescence properties make it a reliable reagent for immunophenotyping and investigating the complex interplay of immune cells in health and disease.

Background:
CD5 is a 67 kD protein, also known as Lyt-1, Ly-1, T1, Tp67, or Ly-12. It is a member of the scavenger receptor cysteine-rich protein superfamily (SRCR) and primarily expressed on thymocytes, T cells, and B-1 cells. Although mature α/β T cells express high levels of CD5, very few γ/δ T cells express this antigen. The interaction of CD5 with CD72, gp35-37, TCR, or BCR is involved in T and B cell activation.
