The Mouse CD5 Monoclonal Antibody (PE-Cyanine5.5 Conjugated) (53-7.3) (AGEL1956) is a premium antibody intended for research applications focused on CD5, a well-known cell surface marker involved in immune responses. This monoclonal antibody, derived from mouse models, exhibits exceptional reactivity towards mouse samples and is specially formulated for flow cytometry analysis.CD5, recognized as a crucial regulator of T cell activation and tolerance, is integral to the immune system's function. As a marker for T cells and B cell subsets, CD5 aids in the identification and characterization of lymphocyte populations. Its role in modulating signal transduction pathways during antigen recognition makes it an area of interest in immunology research, particularly in studies related to autoimmunity, infection, and cancer.
With its specific binding to the CD5 antigen, this monoclonal antibody allows for precise detection and quantification of CD5-expressing cells in diverse experimental settings. Whether investigating immune cell dynamics, evaluating lymphoproliferative disorders, or exploring immune tolerance mechanisms, the Mouse CD5 Monoclonal Antibody (PE-Cyanine5.5 Conjugated) (53-7.3) (AGEL1956) facilitates in-depth analysis and interpretation, fostering advancements in the fields of immunology and oncology.

Background:
CD5 is a 67 kD protein, also known as Lyt-1, Ly-1, T1, Tp67, or Ly-12. It is a member of the scavenger receptor cysteine-rich protein superfamily (SRCR) and primarily expressed on thymocytes, T cells, and B-1 cells. Although mature α/β T cells express high levels of CD5, very few γ/δ T cells express this antigen. The interaction of CD5 with CD72, gp35-37, TCR, or BCR is involved in T and B cell activation.
