The Mouse CD45-2 Monoclonal Antibody PE-conjugated (104-2-AGEL1516) is a specialized antibody designed for research involving CD45-2, a key cell surface marker present on immune cells. This monoclonal antibody, produced using hybridoma technology, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity towards mouse samples, making it an essential tool for flow cytometry applications. It binds specifically to the CD45-2 antigen, enabling accurate detection and analysis in various cell populations, particularly in immunology and cell biology studies.CD45-2, also known as leukocyte common antigen, plays a crucial role in immune cell signaling and activation.
The expression levels and functions of CD45-2 are associated with immune cell development, differentiation, and response to various stimuli. Therefore, investigating CD45-2 dynamics is fundamental for understanding immune cell behavior in health and disease contexts, including infection, inflammation, and autoimmunity. This antibody serves as a valuable resource for researchers aiming to dissect the roles of CD45-2 in immune system regulation and pathology, providing insights that could lead to the development of novel therapeutic strategies.

Background:
CD45.2 is an alloantigen of CD45, expressed by Ly5.2 bearing mouse strains (e.g., A, AKR, BALB/c, CBA/Ca, CBA/J, C3H/He, C57BL, C57BR, C57L, C58, DBA/1, DBA/2, NZB, SWR, 129). CD45, a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family, is a 180-240 kD glycoprotein expressed on all hematopoietic cells except mature erythrocytes and platelets. There are multiple isoforms in the mouse that play key roles in TCR and BCR signal transduction. These isoforms are very specific to the activation and maturation states of the cell as well as specific cell type. The primary ligands for CD45 are galectin-1, CD2, CD3, CD4, TCR, CD22, and Thy-1.
