The Mouse CD41 Monoclonal Antibody (APC Conjugated) MWReg30 (agEL1944) is a specialized antibody designed for research applications involving the CD41 protein, a key cell surface marker found on platelets and megakaryocytes. This monoclonal antibody, produced for use in mouse samples, is conjugated to allophycocyanin (APC) for easy visualization and detection in flow cytometry experiments.CD41, also known as integrin alpha IIb, is essential for platelet aggregation and thrombus formation, making it a critical player in hemostasis and vascular health. By targeting the CD41 protein, researchers can study platelet function, investigate megakaryocyte development, and explore disorders related to blood clotting and bleeding.
This APC-conjugated mouse CD41 monoclonal antibody, MWReg30 (agEL1944), offers high specificity and sensitivity for detecting CD41 expression in various cell types and tissues. Its suitability for flow cytometry analysis makes it a valuable tool for investigating thrombopoiesis, platelet-related disorders, and hematological conditions. Researchers in the fields of hematology, thrombosis, and vascular biology will find this antibody essential for their studies on platelet biology and related diseases.

Background:
CD41, also known as integrin α2b and GPIIb, is a transmembrane glycoprotein that is expressed by platelets and megakaryocytes. It was reported that CD41 is also expressed on hematopoietic progenitors. CD41 associates with CD61 (integrin β3) to form complexes that interact with fibrinogen, fibronectin, von Willebrand factor, and thrombin. CD41 is required for platelet adhesion and aggregation. Defect of CD41 leads to disorders of coagulation.
