The Mouse CD31 Monoclonal Antibody (PE/Cyanine5 Conjugated) is a highly specific tool for researchers studying CD31, a cell surface glycoprotein involved in various biological processes, particularly in endothelial cell biology and vascular integrity. This antibody, derived from mouse monoclonal sources, exhibits strong binding affinity to mouse samples and is optimized for flow cytometry applications.CD31, also known as platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule-1 (PECAM-1), is a key player in leukocyte migration, angiogenesis, and platelet function. Its pivotal role in maintaining vascular homeostasis and regulating immune responses has garnered significant interest in the fields of vascular biology, immunology, and cardiovascular research. The ability to accurately detect and analyze CD31 expression in different cell populations opens up avenues for investigating vascular disorders, inflammatory conditions, and angiogenic processes.
Researchers investigating angiogenesis, vascular permeability, and immune cell interactions within the context of various diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular disorders, and inflammatory conditions can benefit from the precise targeting and detection capabilities of the Mouse CD31 Monoclonal Antibody (PE/Cyanine5 Conjugated). By unraveling the intricate functions of CD31, this antibody facilitates deeper insights into the complex interplay between endothelial cells, immune cells, and the microenvironment, contributing to advancements in therapeutic strategies and disease understanding.

Background:
CD31 is a 130-140 kD glycoprotein, also known as platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule (PECAM-1) and EndoCAM. It is a member of the Ig superfamily, expressed on endothelial cells, platelets, granulocytes, monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells, and T and B cell subsets, and is critical for cell-cell interactions. The primary ligands for CD31 have been reported to be CD38 and the vitronectin receptor (αv β3 integrin, CD51/CD61). Other reported functions of CD31 are neutrophil emigration to sites of inflammation and angiogenesis.
