The Mouse CD31 Monoclonal Antibody (PE/Cyanine5.5 Conjugated) is a specialized tool for researchers studying vascular biology and endothelial cells. CD31, also known as platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule (PECAM-1), is a transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on the surface of endothelial cells, platelets, and leukocytes. This antibody, conjugated with PE/Cyanine5.5, allows for easy detection and visualization of CD31 in flow cytometry applications, providing valuable insights into angiogenesis, inflammation, and vascular permeability. With its high specificity and sensitivity, this monoclonal antibody enables precise identification and analysis of CD31 expression in mouse samples.
By targeting this key endothelial marker, researchers can delve deeper into the mechanisms underlying vascular development, angiogenic processes, and immune cell interactions within the vasculature. Whether investigating cardiovascular diseases, tumor angiogenesis, or inflammatory responses, the Mouse CD31 Monoclonal Antibody (PE/Cyanine5.5 Conjugated) is a trustworthy asset for advancing vascular research and understanding endothelial cell functions in diverse biological contexts.

Background:
CD31 is a 130-140 kD glycoprotein, also known as platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule (PECAM-1) and EndoCAM. It is a member of the Ig superfamily, expressed on endothelial cells, platelets, granulocytes, monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells, and T and B cell subsets, and is critical for cell-cell interactions. The primary ligands for CD31 have been reported to be CD38 and the vitronectin receptor (αv β3 integrin, CD51/CD61). Other reported functions of CD31 are neutrophil emigration to sites of inflammation and angiogenesis.
