The Mouse CD31 Monoclonal Antibody PE/Cyanine5.5 Conjugated (AGEL1914) is a valuable tool for research involving CD31, a cell surface glycoprotein also known as platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule-1 (PECAM-1). This antibody, specifically designed for flow cytometry applications, is raised in mice and is highly reactive with mouse samples.CD31 is a crucial protein involved in various cellular processes, including angiogenesis, platelet function, and immune response. Its expression on endothelial cells and leukocytes makes it a key marker for studying vascular biology, inflammation, and tumor progression. By targeting CD31 with this antibody, researchers can efficiently detect and analyze this protein in different cell types, providing insights into its role in physiological and pathological conditions.
The use of the Mouse CD31 Monoclonal Antibody PE/Cyanine5.5 Conjugated is especially beneficial in immunology, vascular biology, and cancer research. By understanding the expression and function of CD31, scientists can uncover new mechanisms underlying diseases such as cardiovascular disorders, inflammatory conditions, and cancer metastasis. This antibody enables precise and reliable detection of CD31, facilitating high-quality research outcomes in diverse fields of study.

Background:
CD31 is a 130-140 kD glycoprotein, also known as platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule (PECAM-1) and EndoCAM. It is a member of the Ig superfamily, expressed on endothelial cells, platelets, granulocytes, monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells, and T and B cell subsets, and is critical for cell-cell interactions. The primary ligands for CD31 have been reported to be CD38 and the vitronectin receptor (αv β3 integrin, CD51/CD61). Other reported functions of CD31 are neutrophil emigration to sites of inflammation and angiogenesis.
