The Mouse CD31 Monoclonal Antibody (APC-conjugated) is a highly specific tool for studying CD31, a transmembrane glycoprotein involved in cell adhesion and signaling. The antibody is monoclonal, ensuring consistent and reliable results in flow cytometry and immunofluorescence experiments. By targeting CD31, this antibody allows for the identification and characterization of endothelial cells, leukocytes, and platelets in various research applications.CD31, also known as platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule-1 (PECAM-1), plays a crucial role in vascular development, angiogenesis, and immune cell migration. Its expression on endothelial cells serves as a marker for assessing vascular integrity and inflammatory responses in tissues.
By using the Mouse CD31 Monoclonal Antibody (APC-conjugated), researchers can gain valuable insights into the dynamics of cell-cell interactions and vascular function in both normal and pathological conditions. This antibody is a valuable tool for investigating cardiovascular diseases, inflammation, and cancer, where CD31-mediated processes are known to play a significant role. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an essential asset for researchers studying vascular biology, immunology, and tumor microenvironment. Overall, the Mouse CD31 Monoclonal Antibody (APC-conjugated) is a versatile reagent that contributes to a better understanding of CD31 biology and its implications in various disease contexts.

Background:
CD31 is a 130-140 kD glycoprotein, also known as platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule (PECAM-1) and EndoCAM. It is a member of the Ig superfamily, expressed on endothelial cells, platelets, granulocytes, monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells, and T and B cell subsets, and is critical for cell-cell interactions. The primary ligands for CD31 have been reported to be CD38 and the vitronectin receptor (αv β3 integrin, CD51/CD61). Other reported functions of CD31 are neutrophil emigration to sites of inflammation and angiogenesis.
