The Mouse CD31 Monoclonal Antibody (APC-conjugated) is a cutting-edge tool designed for researchers studying CD31, a key cell surface marker involved in vascular integrity and endothelial cell function. This high-quality antibody, derived from mouse monoclonal sources, exhibits excellent reactivity with mouse samples and is optimized for flow cytometry applications.CD31, also known as Platelet Endothelial Cell Adhesion Molecule (PECAM-1), plays a crucial role in mediating endothelial cell adhesion and signaling, essential for processes such as angiogenesis, immune cell recruitment, and vascular permeability. Dysregulation of CD31 expression has been linked to various vascular disorders, inflammatory conditions, and tumor angiogenesis.
By targeting the CD31 protein, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis of CD31 expression in mouse tissue samples, making it an invaluable tool for researchers investigating vascular biology, inflammation, and tumor microenvironment. Its specificity and reliability make it an ideal choice for studies aiming to decipher the role of CD31 in physiological and pathological processes, paving the way for potential therapeutic interventions targeting vascular-related diseases.

Background:
CD31 is a 130-140 kD glycoprotein, also known as platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule (PECAM-1) and EndoCAM. It is a member of the Ig superfamily, expressed on endothelial cells, platelets, granulocytes, monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells, and T and B cell subsets, and is critical for cell-cell interactions. The primary ligands for CD31 have been reported to be CD38 and the vitronectin receptor (αv β3 integrin, CD51/CD61). Other reported functions of CD31 are neutrophil emigration to sites of inflammation and angiogenesis.
