The Mouse CD18 Monoclonal Antibody PE-conjugated (M12/2) is a specialized tool for researchers investigating CD18, a critical cell surface adhesion molecule involved in immune cell function and inflammation. This monoclonal antibody, conjugated with PE for fluorescence-based applications, is specifically designed for flow cytometry and immunofluorescence analysis in mouse samples.CD18, also known as integrin beta 2, is essential for leukocyte migration and activation, playing a key role in the immune response to infection and injury. By targeting CD18, researchers can study cell adhesion, migration, and signaling processes in various immune cell populations.
This antibody provides a reliable means to detect and quantify CD18 expression in mouse tissues, aiding in the understanding of immune system regulation and inflammatory responses. With its high specificity and sensitivity, the Mouse CD18 Monoclonal Antibody PE-conjugated (M12/2) is a valuable tool for immunologists, cell biologists, and researchers exploring immune cell functions in health and disease. It enables detailed analyses of CD18 expression patterns and levels, contributing to advancements in immunology research and potential therapeutic interventions targeting immune-related disorders.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use. We suggest each investigator should titrate the reagent to obtain optimal results [The recommended concentration is 0.1-1 μg/106 cells in 100 μL volume].

Background:
CD18 is a 95 kD protein, also known as integrin β2 subunit. It is expressed on all leukocytes. CD18, in association with integrin α chain CD11a, CD11b, and CD11c forms LFA-1, Mac-1, and αXβ2, respectively, and plays an important role in leukocytes adhesion. The CD18 integrin complexes bind ICAM-1 (CD54), ICAM-2 (CD102), ICAM-3 (CD50), iC3b, and fibrinogen.
