The Mouse CD18 Monoclonal Antibody PE Conjugated (M12/2) is a cutting-edge tool designed for researchers focused on studying immune cell interactions and inflammatory responses. This monoclonal antibody specifically targets the CD18 protein, a key integrin involved in the adhesion and migration of leukocytes.By conjugating PE (Phycoerythrin) to the antibody, researchers can easily detect and analyze CD18 expression in a variety of cell types using flow cytometry or fluorescence microscopy techniques. This allows for precise identification and quantification of CD18-positive cells in complex biological samples. The CD18 protein plays a crucial role in mediating immune cell trafficking and activation, making this antibody a valuable asset for studies on inflammation, immunity, and infectious diseases.
Its high specificity and sensitivity ensure reliable results, enabling researchers to gain deeper insights into immune processes and potentially discover new therapeutic targets.Whether investigating leukocyte adhesion mechanisms, immune cell signaling pathways, or inflammatory disorders, the Mouse CD18 Monoclonal Antibody PE Conjugated (M12/2) offers a versatile and reliable tool for advancing research in immunology, microbiology, and beyond.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used 5 µL of antibody per test (million cells in 100 µL staining volume or per 100 µL of whole blood). Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use.

Background:
CD18 is a 95 kD protein, also known as integrin β2 subunit. It is expressed on all leukocytes. CD18, in association with integrin α chain CD11a, CD11b, and CD11c forms LFA-1, Mac-1, and αXβ2, respectively, and plays an important role in leukocytes adhesion. The CD18 integrin complexes bind ICAM-1 (CD54), ICAM-2 (CD102), ICAM-3 (CD50), iC3b, and fibrinogen.
