The Mouse CD18 Monoclonal Antibody FITC Conjugated (M12/2) is an essential tool for researchers studying cell adhesion and migration processes. This highly specific antibody, conjugated with FITC for fluorescent detection, targets CD18, an integrin beta chain involved in leukocyte adhesion and transmigration across the vascular endothelium.CD18 is a crucial component of heterodimeric integrins expressed on leukocytes, playing a key role in immune responses and inflammatory processes. The M12/2 antibody specifically recognizes and binds to CD18, enabling precise detection and visualization of this important protein in various cell types. Its FITC conjugation allows for easy and efficient fluorescence-based experiments, making it an ideal choice for flow cytometry and immunofluorescence applications.
Researchers in the fields of immunology, inflammation, and vascular biology can benefit from the use of the Mouse CD18 Monoclonal Antibody FITC Conjugated (M12/2) in their studies. By facilitating the investigation of CD18-mediated cellular interactions, this antibody provides valuable insights into mechanisms underlying immune responses, inflammatory disorders, and leukocyte trafficking. Unlock the potential of your research with this reliable tool for analyzing CD18 expression and function.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use. We suggest each investigator should titrate the reagent to obtain optimal results [The recommended concentration is 0.1-1 μg/106 cells in 100 μL volume].

Background:
CD18 is a 95 kD protein, also known as integrin β2 subunit. It is expressed on all leukocytes. CD18, in association with integrin α chain CD11a, CD11b, and CD11c forms LFA-1, Mac-1, and αXβ2, respectively, and plays an important role in leukocytes adhesion. The CD18 integrin complexes bind ICAM-1 (CD54), ICAM-2 (CD102), ICAM-3 (CD50), iC3b, and fibrinogen.
