The Mouse CD14 Monoclonal Antibody (PE-Cyanine5 Conjugated) is a highly specific antibody designed for research applications involving the CD14 protein, a key cell surface receptor involved in the recognition of bacterial lipopolysaccharides. This antibody, labeled with PE-Cyanine5 for fluorescent detection, is ideal for flow cytometry analysis and cell sorting experiments.CD14 is a critical component of the innate immune system, playing a crucial role in the detection of pathogens and activation of immune responses. By specifically targeting CD14, researchers can easily identify and characterize cells expressing this important receptor, facilitating studies on immune responses to bacterial infections, inflammation, and related diseases.
With its high specificity and efficiency in recognizing CD14, this monoclonal antibody provides a valuable tool for immunologists, microbiologists, and researchers studying host-pathogen interactions. Whether investigating the role of CD14 in immune signaling pathways or exploring its potential as a therapeutic target, this antibody offers precise detection and reliable results for advancing research in immunology and infectious diseases.

Background:
CD14 is a 53-55 kD glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-linked membrane glycoprotein also known as LPS receptor. CD14 is expressed on macrophages, dendritic cells, Kupffer cells, hepatocytes, and granulocytes. As a high-affinity receptor for LPS-LBP (LPS-binding protein) complex, CD14, in association with Toll-like Receptor 4 (TLR4) or 2 (TLR2), is involved in the clearance of gram-negative pathogens.
